Cervical Mucus Defined

A slippery fluid secreted by the cervix that collects in the cervix and vagina. The cervical mucus changes in quality and quantity just before and during ovulation. When one is on a birth control pill, the cervical mucus is thickened to slow down the movement of sperm.
